The recommended size of a file with an article is no more than 20 MB.

1. The manuscripts are submitted for consideration if they have not been submitted elsewhere or have not been published in the Internet or printed before in other editions.
2. The author guarantees that the manuscript is original and does not contain plagiarism or inappropriate textual borrowing.
3. The authors must notify the editors about possible conflict of interests.
4. The authors should cite properly all the sources used in the article.
5. The authors are solely responsible for the selection and the validity of any information provided in the articles, citations, statistical and sociological data, etc.
6. The authors must notify about any errors that they may find in the manuscript after its publication. You must also attach the ORCID number of all authors (https://orcid.org/)

Submitting for peer-review

The editorial staff of Chemical Safety Science provides a free peer-review of all incoming materials that meet the thematic profile and formal requirements of the journal. All peer-reviewers are recognized experts in the appropriate research field and are known to have relevant publications in leading scientific journals. Review process is anonymous for both reviewer and author (double-blind peer-review). Experts can be both independent researchers (external review) and members of Editorial board (internal review). It is essential to have two peer reviews for the article.

Submitted materials are evaluated for compliance with the following criteria:
- compliance with the key areas of reseach topics of Chemical Safety Science;
- professional competence;
- scientific relevance;
- scientific novelty;
- compliance of the article with the requirements of the journal;
- academic style of representing research results.

If a decision is made to publish an article, the editors inform the author of this decision by e-mail. If an article requires a revision or correction, an email is sent to the author with the appropriate recommendations for correcting the text basing on peer-review  conclusions with the indication of the date for sending the corrected version of the article. In case of refusal to publish an article, the editorial staff sends the author a reasoned refusal based on peer-review conclusions.
Articles that have been peer-reviewed with a positive conclusion are published in the journal for free. Articles are published both in Russian and in English. The data presented in the work must be original. It is not allowed to submit materials that have been already published and (or) accepted for publication in other publishing sources. The responsibility for submitting materials, fully or partially published in another sources, is applicable to the author. The author guarantees that he has exclusive rights to use the submitted material. The author is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information presented in the submitted material, as well as for the accuracy of the cited literature. In the event of a complaint to the editorial board in this connection, the author undertakes to settle all the claims at his own expense. The editors are not responsible before third parties  for breach of warranties by the author(s). If the publication of an article resulted in a violation of someone’s copyright or generally accepted standards of scientific ethics, the editors of the journal have the right to withdraw the published article.

Scan of the original expert conclusion on the possibility of publishing the submitted material in the open press (the conclusion should contain the phrase: "The article can be published in the open press in the Chemical Safety Science" and should be certified by the official stamp of the affiliation).
